Thank you for visiting my tumblr.  I usually assume that nobody cares what I have to say, because I usually don’t care what other people have to say.  But either way, thanks for checking out my page.

As I’m typing my friend Josh just asked how to spell Michigan, then told me I was wrong when I spelled it, out loud, the same way I just typed it.  I consider him to be one of my smarter friends so this scares me a bit. 

We drove down from Buffalo, NY on Thursday morning and arrived at the Baymount Inn to discover they hadn’t set aside the rooms for the comics.  The front desk guy said, and I quote, “We forgot you were going to be here, sorry”.  I wanted to point to the giant poster that said  ”Dr Grins June Schedule” that was next to the check in and out sign, but figured he would get mad and then punch me in the eyeball, so instead I said “no problem” and laughed nervously.

So we ended up staying at the Baymont Thursday night, which is about 7 miles from the club.  The club manager said we would be moved to the Marriot Courtyard across the street from the club for Friday and Saturday.  My favorite part is that he apologized.  I waited a second to see if he was being sarcastic, but in the end it was completely genuine. He even offered to pay for a dinner to make up for the “inconvenience”.  I wanted to show him a picture of what a Baymont Inn looks like, but decided to just thank him and drink heavily, since now I only have to walk across the street to get back to the hotel.  All the more reasons to love this club.

The shows have been fantastic and I’m working with Dan Cummins, who is absolutely hilarious.  If you haven’t heard of him, do yourself a favor and look him up on YouTube.
